Planning for your Arrival

Getting to Jingle Fest 2011:

You should arrive & setup between 8-9am on Sunday November 20th (Jingle Fest opens at 10am) Get Directions to Jingle Fest @ Napredak Hall

Once You Arrive at Jingle Fest 2011:

Napredak Hall has several doors that will be open for loading. You will not have any trouble accessing the hall from any open door (front, side and back).

Once unloaded, to ensure a good experience for your customers, we ask you to move your car to the back dirt lot if the ground is dry, or on the paved area furthest away from the front entrance.  Handicapped parking excepted.  Many attendees will have children.  Let's allow them to park closest.

We won't have anyone to help loading and unloading so we ask, bring a friend!

Preparing your Table:

We will provide an 8-foot table & two chairs. Napradek Hall tells us the tables are approximately 96"L x 30"W x 28.5"H. Please prepare by bringing a table cloth for your table display.

Packing up:

We strongly discourage knocking down your table until after 4 PM. That is to say, we are trying to avoid exhibitors leaving early.

Event Day Advice

Show Advice For the Novice and Review for the Veteran

The most important tip is what we call “the golden rule of business:” treat your customers the way you would wish to be treated if you were in their place.

Offer a wide array of attractive merchandise at a range of prices for a range of budgets. Display in a pleasing way.

Consider pricing your merchandise ahead of time with an area set aside for a special show sale promotion that will discount off the stated prices.

Let your own customers and contacts know they can find you at the show. Store owners can sell 4 to 5 times more face-to-face then they can online. Generate your own traffic.

Consider having merchandise for children.  A significant amount of sales are for children.

Show a  friendly interest in your prospective customer and avoid being overly aggressive
a. who doesn’t appreciate a friendly "hi"?
b. be and stay positive
c. Do not hide behind your table in personal tasks. Be available and interested. You are at work and you are representing your company.

Get email addresses for your mailing list.  Sales are important but use the show for future contacts.  Give your customers the opportunity to get email updates and notice of promotions.

Have something to hand out, such as business cards or promotional literature, to let people know of your contact information and your online store address.

Bring a second person with you to the event--someone whose company you enjoy.  They will give you help and can elevate the mood of your booth

Plan the look of your table in advance. Consider a “practice” set-up and take-down of your table while you are still home.

Bring a table covering that will extend to the floor. It improves the look of your table and allows you to hide boxes and additional merchandise under your table out of sight.

Last but certainly not least: Have fun!
